In the second half, Southsiders showed their resilience. They reorganised defensively and began to play more directly, which led to a few quick goals from Disco and James Fleming. Their efforts narrowed the scoreline to 11-7, and for a brief period, it looked like a comeback might be on the cards.

However, Roan continued to dictate the pace of the game for Darnley, finding space in the Southsiders’ half and creating more opportunities for his team. A few well-timed goals in the latter stages put the game beyond the reach of Southsiders, as Darnley capitalised on their early advantage to finish the game at 16-9.
