Street League Partnership: Big Bro Soccer Welcomes Two Young Recruits in Glasgow

Big Bro Soccer Welcomes Two New Recruits Through Street League Partnership

At Big Bro Soccer, we believe football is more than a game—it’s a powerful tool for creating opportunities and building a stronger community in Glasgow.

Today, we’re excited to introduce two new recruits who have joined our team through a growing partnership with Street League, a charity focused on helping young people gain meaningful employment.

These new team members will be taking on the role of cameramen at our Goals Shawlands sessions, capturing every moment of action and adding to the professional football experience we deliver for players and fans alike across Glasgow.

Building Pathways for Young People in Glasgow

Our partnership with Street League is about more than just providing jobs—it’s about giving young people in Glasgow the chance to build their skills, gain confidence, and see a pathway to a brighter future.

The young people we’ve welcomed into the Big Bro Soccer family come from diverse backgrounds and have faced challenges in finding work, but now they’re taking on key roles behind the camera, helping to film and document matches at Goals Shawlands.

One of our new recruits shared:

"Street League helped me get ready for the real world. The staff treated me like an adult, and now I’m excited to put my skills into action with Big Bro Soccer."

Creating Lasting Impact in Glasgow’s Community

The addition of these two new recruits takes us closer to reaching double figures in the number of young people from Glasgow we’ve been able to provide paid work experience to through our partnership with Street League. But this is just the beginning.

At Big Bro Soccer, we are committed to not just running an exciting and competitive 5-a-side football league but also playing a role in making a positive difference in the lives of young people in Glasgow.

Through our partnerships, we aim to give more young people the opportunity to step into real roles, learn new skills, and feel part of something bigger.

"My advice to others in the same situation? Just go for it. The opportunities are there, and Big Bro Soccer and Street League are here to support you every step of the way."

Looking to the Future: Expanding Opportunities Across Glasgow

We’re proud to be part of a movement that uses football to create lasting change in Glasgow’s communities.

As we continue to grow, we plan to forge more partnerships and open up even more opportunities for young people to get involved, learn, and take on roles that matter—whether behind the camera, on the pitch, or in support roles.

Our commitment to making football accessible to everyone in Glasgow remains stronger than ever. We’re more than a football league—we’re part of the solution, helping young people in our city build their future.

Join the Movement: Supporting Glasgow's Youth

If you know someone who could benefit from this initiative or are an organisation looking to make a difference in Glasgow, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can continue to build pathways to employment and create lasting impact through the power of football.
